Discover National Park De Hoge Veluwe and its surroundings
In our charming village of Otterlo on the Veluwe you will be awakened by the birds and not the alarm clock. Otterlo is located next to National Park De Hoge Veluwe and the Kröller-Müller Museum where the second largest collection of Van Gogh can be found. After a good breakfast, explore the Veluwe by bike or on foot. Dozens of kilometers of bicycle paths and certainly as many kilometers of hiking trails lead you through the vast heathlands, beautiful forests, sand drifts and fens. But the Veluwe also offers top attractions, famous museums and historic towns. We have listed a few tips for you.

Cycling in the Veluwe
‘t Witte Hoes is located next to bicycle junction 31. Thanks to the cycling junction network you can discover the entire Veluwe. If you go cycling on National Park De Hoge Veluwe, you can use the famous white bicycle.

Hiking in the Veluwe
From ‘t Witte Hoes there are many hiking options. How about wandering around National Park De Hoge Veluwe, walking the Trekvogelpad or discovering Planken Wambuis on foot. Of course you can be accompanied by a forester.

Park de Hoge Veluwe
National Park de Hoge Veluwe features 5,400 hectares of forest, heathland, fens and drifting sand. Together with the Kröller-Müller Museum and sculpture garden, the Park forms a unique combination of nature, art and architecture.

Museonder
At the Museonder at National Park De Hoge Veluwe, you literally take a look underground. The museum shows what lives and has lived underground, right down to the center of the earth.

Hunting Lodge Sint Hubertus
The Gesamtwerk Jachthuis Sint Hubertus is the former country residence of the Kröller-Müller couple. The architect is the famous Hendrikus Petrus Berlage. He was also involved in the interior, the pond and the bridge.

Kröller-Müller Museum
The Kröller-Müller Museum houses the world’s second-largest collection of Van Gogh. In addition, the collection has a lot of modern art from the 19th and 20th centuries. Very special about the museum is the sculpture garden.

Palace of the Loo
The Oranges have been coming to De Veluwe to live, work and relax for more than 300 years. Royal fanfare is yours too at the stables, coach houses and baroque gardens of Het Loo Palace. The Palace itself is currently undergoing extensive renovations.

The Tile Museum
Otterlo has a lesser-known but special gem, The Dutch Tile Museum. The largest and most versatile collection of Dutch wall tiles and tile tableaux are displayed from the late Middle Ages to contemporary ceramics.

Celtic Fields
At the Celtic Fields at the Wekeromse Zand, prehistoric fields can be admired, a honeycomb viewed from the air. You can find an original Germanic well and a reconstructed iron age farm. We think it is definitely worth a visit.

Kootwijkerzand
The Kootwijkerzand is the largest shifting sand area in Western Europe. An absolute must see as far as we are concerned is Radio Kootwijk, a particularly imposing building with a unique story. It is wonderful walking here in peace.

Apenheul
With over 300 monkeys, the Apenheul is well worth a visit for both young and old. About half of the monkeys walk around freely. During a beautiful route the wonderful world of all kinds of monkeys is discovered.

Burgers' zoo
Dive into 8 million gallons of water, adventure in the indoor jungle and admire vultures in the desert! Fun in nice and some not so nice weather. Experience 45 hectares of animal park at Burgers’ Zoo in Arnhem!
